Paul Koss joined CBU’s baseball staff as the assistant pitching coach in July 2024. Koss served as the head coach of Colorado Christian University’s baseball team from 2019 to 2024. During his tenure, he led the team to its first-ever appearances in the conference tournament in both 2021 and 2023, achieving the highest conference winning percentage in school history. Koss coached Colorado Christian’s first All-American, Wyatt Crenshaw, in 2022.
From 2017 to 2019, Koss was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Colorado Christian, where he helped the team achieve its lowest ERA in school history in 2018.
Koss graduated from Orange Lutheran High School in 2003 before playing collegiate baseball at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2004 to 2007. He finished his career second in career saves (36) and career appearances (101), as well as second in single-season saves (16). In 2006, he was selected as a Cape Cod League All-Star. Drafted in the 11th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007, Koss played six years of professional baseball, reaching the Double-A level and making the California League All-Star team in 2008.
Koss has been married to his wife, Ellen, for five years. They are expecting their first child, a daughter named Evie, in December.
