THIS YEAR: A proven winner at the prep level, sophomore Aki Sator will need to compensate for a 3-year absence from water polo, but if he can, he may be one of the best players in program history ... Expected to be a "game-breaker" ... Utility who can play offense and defense, and loves to guard the opponent’s 2-meter man.
PEPPERDINE: Attended Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., in 2002-03, but redshirted in water polo.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Palm Desert (Calif.) High in 2002 ... Played 4 years of varsity water polo, where his team finished in the CIF’s top-3 for 3-straight seasons ... Also swam and played basketball for 4 years of varsity action ... Swim team was 4-time CIF champions ... Teams lost only 1 conference game throughout his career for a combined record of 151-1.
OTHER: Majoring in business marketing ... Plans on earning his master’s degree after he graduates ... Enjoys reading the Bible, hanging out with friends, surfing, and playing basketball, soccer and tennis.
