THIS YEAR: One of the top recruits in 2005, freshman Andrew Romero could give returning goalie Jon Miller a run for his money for time in front of the net ... Comes from a very strong club program ... Has a strong résumé ... Coming out of high school ready to play at this level ... An explosive goalie with strong legs that propel him out of the water.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Claremont (Calif.) High School in 2005 ... Played 4 years of varsity water polo ... Was named to All-Baseline League first team in junior and senior years ... Earned team MVP recognition as a senior ... Team made quarterfinals in CIF in freshman through junior years.
OTHER: Is considering majoring in psychology at California Baptist ... Plans on joining the police force, eventually working up to becoming a detective ... Enjoys going to the beach and mountain biking.
