Brittney Gossett

Brittney Gossett joined the CBU softball staff in the summer of 2018 as an assistant softball coach.
Gossett played four years at the University of Notre Dame from 2005-09 where she finished her career as one of the most durable pitchers in Irish history. She played in NCAA Division I Regionals all four years, and was a two-year team co-captain and anchored the Irish pitching staff to a 43-17 record and an appearance in the NCAA Regionals as a senior. That year she was named the BIG EAST Championship Most Outstanding Player and to the BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament Team. She also earned second team all-BIG EAST and her second NFCA Mideast all-Region honor in as many seasons after finishing the season with a 1.72 ERA in 42 appearances.
After graduating from UND with a degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing, Gossett began her coaching career, coaching private pitching lessons from 2012-2018. She also was the Firecrackers head coach from 2014-18 and the head varsity coach at Santiago High School from 2016-18.
The Corona High alum married her husband Robert in 2012. The pair have a daughter, Irelynn, and a son, Hunter. Gossett lists her favorite Bible verse as Proverbs 3:5-6.
