BEREKLEY, Calif. --- Jon Miller had his hands full, hauling down 9 saves as his backup, Zach Bowman, nabbed 4 himself, but the California Baptist goalkeepers played catch-up the entire day in a 23-5 loss to No. 2-ranked California.
Ryan Steiger scored the first of his 2 goals on the afternoon to lead off the scoring in the first period, but California went to work after Steiger's score, building up a 14-2 lead at the half. Steiger now has 58 goals--tops in the country.
Aaron Abellano, Mike Looy and Chris Morgan each found the net once in the loss, which brings the Lancers' season record to 14-7.
