As time wound down in second half, Biola's Megann Alberts drove the baseline and found Dulin all alone on the wing to break an 86-85 Lancer lead and send the Eagles on their way to a 95-90 lead.
The loss is the fourth in a row for California Baptist, which falls to 13-11, 5-10, is now tied with Concordia for eighth place in the GSAC. Meanwhile, Biola improves to 10-14, 6-9 and gains sole possession of seventh-place in the conference, with Concordia also taking a loss tonight.
Alberts scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Biola, which erased a 10-point deficit in the game's final 10 minutes. An Alberts layup started the well-timed Eagle rally, as Biola launched a 12-4 run to eventually tie the game at 75-75.
The Lancers looked to be well in control of the game, leading 74-68, with 7:44 left, but a pair of missed CBU field-goal attempts opened the door for Biola, as Alberts and Rochelle Rausch buried back-to-back jumpers to suddenly make it just a 74-72 Lancer lead with 6:12 left to play.
Trailing, 90-86 after a pair of Biola free-throws, Paris Michel knocked down a layup that was later followed up by a Nicole Davis bucket, bringing the Lancers within one point, at 90-91, with 34 seconds left, but CBU was held scoreless the rest of the way.
Michel ended with a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds), while
Rausch scored 23 points, including a 4-for-6 effort from beyond the arc, for Biola.
The Lancers trailed by as much as 13 points in the first half, but were aided by 7 Biola giveaways to bring their halftime deficit to 46-49. Jessica Fisiikava was 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, tallying each of her 14 points in the half for CBU, which shot 40 percent (8-for-20) in the opening period.
Trailing, 47-39, with just 1:32 left on the first-half clock, Fisiikava converted on a pair of free-throws to bring the Eagles' lead to 47-41. Adaobi Gwacham, who ended the half with 6 boards and 6 points, was later fouled and sunk both of her attempts from the charity stripe ahead of Megan Bradford's buzzer-beating trey to pull the Lancers to within 3, at 46-49.
Earlier in the half, Fisiikava had buried 3 long-distance attempts to help fuel a 19-4 Lancer run that temporarily gave them the lead at 34-32 at the 6:31 mark. Paris Michel knocked down a couple of jumpers in the rally, which dug CBU out of a 15-28 hole before the run.
Alberts and Rausch each scored 16 points in the half for Biola, which outshot CBU 67 percent (22-for-33) to 46 percent (16-for-35) from the field. The Eagles also outrebounded the Lancers, 22-12 in the first half, including an 18-9 count on the defensive side.
