KANSAS CITY, Mo. ? After spending the last week as the nation's second-ranked team, California Baptist now steps back into the No. 1 spot in the NAIA Softball Top 25 Poll released Wednesday.
Point Loma moves up from No. 3 to No. 2 while Lubbock Christian (Texas) fell from the No. 1 spot to No. 3. Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) and Rogers State (Okla.) round out the top five.
Vanguard dropped from eighth to tenth while Azusa Pacific climbed into the top 25 at No. 21. Concordia fell out of the poll after being ranked 16th, but is still receiving votes.
Rogers State, No. 7 William Carey (Miss.) and No. 13 Oklahoma City all climbed five spots as the biggest jumps in the poll while Saint Gregory's (Okla.) dropped the farthest going from seventh to 15th.
APU, Oregon Institute of Technology and Northwestern Oklahoma State all made the poll after not being ranked last week.
The Lancers will have a showdown with Point Loma, Saturday, in a noon doubleheader.
