The offensive momentum the Lancers had on day one, carried over into day two as CBU tallied 16 goals in each of its wins on Saturday. In game one, the Lancers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter, and continued piling on the points in the second, as they stretched their halftime lead to six goals, 8-2.
Over the final 16 minutes of the game, CBU racked up eight more scores, while allowing just one more to the Banana Slugs, easily taking the 13-goal win.
Petra Kovacs led the Lancers in scoring with four goals in the win, while Kim Latschaw added a hat trick for the Lancers.
Game two, however, started as a much closer battle, with CBU only holding a one-goal edge, 4-3, at the end of the first quarter. The Lancers opened up their lead over the Eagles though, in the second quarter, taking a 9-4 advantage into the break. CBU continued to pile on the points in the second half, sealing their win.
Chelsea Gentry scored five goals in the game, and Jennifer Grutz added a hat trick.
The Lancers closed out their season on a five-game win streak, to finish the 2010 campaign with an overall record of 24-16.
