RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The accolades keep pouring in for California Baptist University, with two Lancers being named to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® softball teams.
Kayla Hatch and Krista Mann were chosen as District 8's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom, boasting a GPA of at least a 3.30 or higher.
It's the second-straight honor for both kinesiology majors. Only first teams were chosen for both the baseball and softball district teams, so all honorees will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
CBU is in the midst of its third-straight NCAA Division II West Regional, facing top-seeded and fifth-ranked Humboldt State this morning.
