It was the third most points scored in an NCAA Division I game this season, while the 90-point margin of victory was another WAC record. CBU's 97 field-goal attempts were another team record, and it also tied the top program mark for field goals (51) and three-pointers in a game (20), which were both WAC records, and was one assist off its single-game record, with 35.
"I thought the team really came out with a good energy, they played hard for 40 minutes and didn't look at the scoreboard," Coach Jarrod Olson said. "We are just trying to build good habits and continue to improve as a team. We did a lot of good things out there and hopefully it will continue into the next game."
Overall, CBU shot 52.6 percent from the field (51-97) and 42.6 from three (20-67), and held Westcliff to 22.4 percent (13-58) from the floor.
All 11 Lancers who got in the game scored at least six points, while Ane Olaeta and Delacy Brown both eclipsed 20 in 21 minutes or less. Olaeta finished with a career-high 27 points on 12-for-17 shooting and 3-of-4 from three, six assists and six steals. Brown added 20 points on 7-13 shooting, 6-11 from three, and seven assists.
Four other CBU players had double-digit points. True freshman Madison Davis tied her career-high of 15 points and also had five rebounds and three steals. Britney Thomas secured herself another double-double with 12 points on 6-8 shooting and 13 rebounds in 19 minutes. Emma Meriggioloi and Kristine Sellona also had 12 points each in 14 and 11 minutes on the floor, respectively.
"We spend a lot of time talking about moving the ball, making easier plays and sharing it," Olson said. "We had a goal of 25 assists for the game and we had 35 tonight. … Everything we were hoping to do tonight we did."
The Lancers scored the first 12 points of the game and turned that into a 22-3 run. Olaeta had eight of those points, while Brown had nine coming on a trio of three-pointers. CBU built up its lead to 28 by the end of the first quarter, 34-6. Olaeta scored 13 points on 6-for-8 shooting and had three assists in the first 10 minutes.

The Lancers were perhaps their most dominant in the third quarter, winning those 10 minutes by a score of 34-5. Davis, Meriggioli and Lexy Ram all had five points in that span.
Davis stayed hot with seven more points in the fourth quarter. Georgia Dale gave CBU a new record for points in a game when she scored the 127th on an and-one play.

But it was Sellona's show over the final 10 minutes, as she scored all 12 of her points on 4-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Her final three-pointer with 50 seconds left also tied for CBU's most threes in a game.
"Kristine came in and had a great fourth quarter, that was fun to see," Olson said. "A lot of people had great minutes tonight."
