Lancers Close Out Fall Season at the Visit Stockton Invite

STOCKTON --- California Baptist University played its final round of the 2019 season at the Visit Stockton Invitational on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lancers finished the three-day tournament in 15th out of the 16-team field. CBU shot a 304-293-298=895 total.
San Jose State went wire-to-wire all three days to claim the team championship with a 16-under-par 282-285-285=848 team score. Brigham Young placed second with an 851, while Nevada jumped up one spot to take third with an 853.
Ryan Monsalve captured his first top-10 finish of the season, as the junior shot a 3-under-par 70-70-73=213 to place T-10th. Michael Sarro signed a 6-over-par 74-74-74=222 to place T-55th, while John Hayes finished T-78th with a 78-74-77=229.
Dan Heron stayed at 87th with an 84-75-74=233 to improve his card each day. Ivan Monsalve finished with an 82-84-78=244 to place T-93rd.
Sean Yu of San Jose State won the tournament with an 11-under-par 64-69-72=205.
CBU will take a break from competition before its back on the course in February. The Lancers will kick off the spring season at the Orange County Classic on Feb. 10-11 at the Coto Do Caza Golf & Racquet Club.
