Bash put together a quality start by holding the Hornets to one run, three hits, three walks and struck out six over seven innings. Delgado was perfect through the final two innings for the Lancers, retiring all six batters he faced, including two with strikeouts.
Sacramento State starter Scott Randall managed to hold CBU to just two hits in his shutout performance. The Hornets take the three-game series to improve to 18-9 and take a four-way share of first place in the Western Athletic Conference standings at 4-2.
CBU moves to 18-10 and 3-3 in the conference. The Lancers are on the road for the next four games, playing a conference series at Seattle U Friday through Sunday before a non-conference game at the University of Washington the following Monday. Fans can follow the series with the Redhawks on the WAC Digital Network and with live stats from Seattle.
The Hornets took the lead first in the fourth inning of the pitcher's duel. Sacramento State went up 1-0, but it could have been much worse, as it loaded the bases with no outs. Angelo Capolupo made a diving catch at short for the first out, and then Nick Plaia ended the inning with a great sliding catch in center.
Angelo Capolupo made a nice diving catch for the first out of the top of the fourth inning to help keep the Hornets in check. It was so nice, let's see it twice.#LanceUp pic.twitter.com/gibXBf3QI7

Sacramento State had just one base runner via a walk over the final five innings, as Bash and Delgado were both solid.
Rory Smith broke up Randall's bid for a perfect game with a leadoff single in the bottom of the sixth. Smith then legged out an infield single deep in the hole at shortstop for CBU's second and final hit in the bottom of the eighth.
