Lancers Classic Replay - Men's Basketball OT Win vs. Seattle U

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University is excited to announce a new series called 'Lancers Classic Replay,' a series that will feature some of the best contests by the Lancers throughout the NCAA Division I era.
The first 'Lancers Classic Replay' will air on Wednesday, March 25, at 2 p.m., and will feature the men's basketball team's final home game of the 2019-20 season against Seattle U. The game will be streamed on YouTube and can be found HERE. Fans can set a reminder in advance about the game through YouTube.
The game between the Lancers and the Redhawks was an instant classic. Milan Acquaah's game-winning shot in the final seconds propelled the Lancers to an 88-87 overtime victory and improved the team to 21-8 on the season.

Fun Facts About The Game:
- Before the game, the Lancers honored their five seniors: Micah Robinson, Omar Lo, Brandon Boyd, Zach Pirog, and De'jon Davis.
- The Redhawks entered the contest with a conference-best 79.1 points per game against WAC opponents.
- SU also came into the game averaging the most fouls per contest in the WAC at 22.5, which was good news for the Lancers, as they averaged a league-best 79.9 percent clip from the free-throw line.
- The Lancers entered the game as just one of 52 teams in DI men's basketball to reach 20 wins at that point in the season.
- Davis had to hit two free throws at the end of regulation to force the game into overtime.
- With less than five seconds in overtime, Acquaah received a screen from Davis at the top of the key and made his move down the left side with his defender on his hip. He stopped and stepped back, creating separation from his defender to take the final shot with less than three seconds in the game. The CBU Events Center was sent into a frenzy after Acquaah made the game-winner and secured the Lancers' 21st win of the season.
Coach Croy had this to say about the game, "Tonight was special. Both teams were playing at a high level. We knew Seattle would come in here and play an A-game. We pulled together when things got tough, and there were a lot of those moments tonight. We just kept fighting. Really proud of our team and grateful for this senior class. They have so much love for CBU and for each other. We are grateful for the support. I can not imagine a better college basketball game in the country than what took place tonight in the CBU Events Center. With homecoming, all of the alumni, everyone that's poured into CBU, we all did it together tonight. We don't win this game unless this place is sold out. We needed everyone pulling together, and our fans were amazing."
