CBU Baseball Receiving Votes in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's Preseason Poll

RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University baseball is receiving votes in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's 2022 Pre-Season Top 50 Poll, which was released on Monday.
The Lancers are coming off a banner season in 2021. CBU won a share of the Western Athletic Conference regular-season championship in its second-straight opportunity and logged a 40-16 overall record, including a 29-7 run in the WAC.
Forty wins tied for the eighth-most in all of Division I at the end of the regular season on May 30. It was tied with the University of Arizona and UC Irvine for the most victories among West Coast teams in the regular season.
CBU ended the 2021 campaign receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's final Top 30 Poll.
The 2022 season is set to begin with a four-game series at home with Coppin State for CBU on Feb. 18-20. The Lancers' upcoming 56-game schedule includes 31 homes games and 25 road contests.
