SEATTLE --- California Baptist University traveled up north to take on the Western Athletic Conference preseason favorites Seattle U on Saturday, as the Lancers fell in a 1-0 game.
Despite outshooting the Redhawks, 10-7, the Lancers were unsuccessful in finding the back of the net. Karley Weeks paced the Lancers with three shots, one on goal, as she had a great attempt at putting the equalizer between the sticks.

This marks the first loss in conference play for the Lancers, as they move to 4-1-1 on the season and 2-1 in the WAC. Seattle U improves to 3-2-1 on the year and 2-0-1 in conference play. The Redhawks previously split their series with UT Rio Grande Valley with a double-overtime tie and a 1-0 win.
The Lancers won't meet the Redhawks again until April 9, as the series between the two teams is the only home-and-away series on the conference calendar.
