Lancers Open Day One At Princeton Tournament

PRINCETON - California Baptist University men's water polo headed to New Jersey to face Wagner University and 12th-ranked Princeton to begin the Princeton Tournament on Friday.
PJ McDonough scored five goals on the day, while Caleb Teraoka had four goals and three assists in both games. Thomas De Witt also tacked on four assists throughout the games on Friday. The Lancers fell short in both games, however, falling to Wagner, 14-12, and Princeton, 16-10.
The Lancers led against Wagner for the first two quarters until the Seahawks pulled ahead in the third, with a seven-goal quarter. CBU came back in the third by scoring three goals from Cameron Cullen, Teraoka and McDonough, but it was not enough to seal a victory.
CBU faced Princeton for the day's second game, staying within reach of the Tigers until the second half. Teraoka logged in three goals and two assists in the game, while McDonough and Simon Taylor tallied two goals each.
After the first day of the Princeton Tournament, the Lancers' record is now 1-5. Wagner is 1-4 and Princeton moves to 4-1. CBU will play two more games at Princeton Saturday, with matchups against 16th-ranked Bucknell and Fordham at 6:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Pacific.
