
St. Clair Signs Three Transfers For 2022 Season

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University Head Women's Soccer Coach Kristen St. Clair has announced the signing of Marcella Brooks, Lourdes Bosch, and Vanessa Aviles to join the Lancers for the 2022 season.
"We're thrilled to welcome two dynamic and proven attacking players, as well as an experienced defender, to our team this spring," said St. Clair. "Both Marcella and Lourdes bring experience, goal scoring, and the ability to create opportunities for themselves and their teammates. Vanessa brings experience and versatility on defense. All three transfers will make an impact and help our team immediately."
Brooks, a 5-8 junior midfield/forward, transfers into California Baptist after spending three seasons at UNLV. During her time with the Rebels, she appeared in 45 games while making 22 starts. In the 2021 season, she scored four goals and dished out two assists for a total of 10 points on the season. She logged the 10th most minutes on the team and finished second in points and shots on goal (14).

Bosch, a 5-1 junior midfielder, will also transfer into CBU after spending the last three seasons at UNLV with Brooks. She was named Mountain West All-Conference Second Team in the 2020 season and earned a spot on the Mountain West Newcomer List as a freshman in the 2019 season. After the 2021 season, Bosch was named to the Mountain West All-Conference First Team, becoming the first Rebel to be awarded first-team honors since 2017. Bosch played in 44 games during her three-year career and made 37 starts. She recorded a team-high six goals and seven assists while scoring both game-winning goals against San Jose State and Fresno State in the 2021 season.

A 5-4 sophomore defender, Aviles comes to CBU after spending the last two seasons at Columbus State. She was named a two-time All-PBC First Team selection during her time with the Cougars. In the 2021 season, Aviles was second on the team in minutes played with 1,789 and scored six goals and one assist for 13 points.
