Box Score SAN LUIS OBISPO--- The Lancers hit the road to face their fourth Big West opponent as they were defeated by the Cal Poly Mustangs 64-53. The Lancers fell to 5-4 after the loss, dropping their first road game of the young season.
The Lancers had a balanced first-half offense with eight players scoring and were led by
Tre Armstrong with eight points on 3-4 shooting.
Taran Armstrong had six of the Lancer's eight assists in the opening frame.
The second half was marred by foul trouble and turnovers as the Lancers could not gain any offensive rhythm, scoring only 21 points. California Baptist University was able to win the battle of the glass, outrebounding the Mustangs 38-29. Everyone who played for CBU scored, but no one could crack double figures in the 64-53 defeat.
Next up, the Lancers will return home to face the Weber State Wildcats at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, in the CBU Events Center.
