Lancers Prepare To Host The Joust on Feb. 21-22

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University's men's golf team is set to host The Joust at Goose Creek Golf Course on Feb. 21-22.
CBU will welcome 14 teams to the third annual event. The two-day tournament will open with 36 holes on Monday, Feb. 21, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Live stats will be provided on golfstat.com, and the event is open to the public following state and local county regulations regarding COVID-19.
The Joust continues to be a tournament like no other, as three champions will be crowned after the final round on Feb. 22. An individual medalist will be awarded, a team champion will be awarded, and then an All-Five Team Champion will be crowned. Most tournaments allow five golfers to compete, with only four counting scores going towards the team score. The third champion will have to count all five player scores to see who will be crowned the All-Five Team Champion.
California Baptist, Dixie State, Cal State Fullerton, UCSB, Weber State, UC San Diego, Omaha, Idaho, Morehead State, UC Riverside, CSUN, Simon Fraser, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Claremont Mudd Scripps, and La Verne will make up the field competing for the team champion and the All-Five Team Champion.
The participating teams and players will have a chance to explore Goose Creek during Sunday's practice round before the competition takes place over the next two days.
