Citherlet Finishes Top-20 At Orange County Collegiate

COTO DE CAZA --- The California Baptist University men's golf team finished the Orange County Collegiate on Tuesday afternoon, as the Lancers placed ninth out of 10 teams.
Cal State Fullerton claimed the team championship with a 17-over-par 881 team score to edge UC Irvine by five strokes. UCI dropped to second with a 22-over-par 886 team score, while Cal Poly jumped up a spot into third with a 24-over-par 888 team score.
Sean Citherlet claimed his first top-20 finish of his young career with an 8-over-par 74-74-76=224 to take T-16th. Ryan Fisher signed a 17-over-par 233 to move up two spots to finish 38th, while James Mackie and Justin Cross both finished T-39th with an 18-over-par 234. Min Jun Kim closed out his day with a 41-over-par 257 to place 62nd.
Kolbe Irei of UC Irvine won individual medalist honors with an even-par 75-68-73=216.
The Lancers will enjoy a week break before they host The Joust at Goose Creek Golf Course on Feb. 21-22. It marks the third year the Lancers will welcome teams across the country and region to their own backyard.
