Five Lancers Score in Double Figures in Tight Loss to the JackJumpers

HOBART--- California Baptist University battled the Tasmania JackJumpers to an 85-75 finish. The JackJumpers, an NBL team from Hobart, Tasmania, featured former NBA players such as Jordan Crawford and Milton Doyle.
The Lancers kept the ball game close throughout and even held an early lead in the opening period. Five Lancers scored in double-figures in the game, led by Hunter Goodrick and Yvan Ouedraogo, each with 14 points. Dominique Daniels Jr. was next on the scoring list with 13, while Brantly Stevenson and Scotty Washington chipped in ten apiece.
CBU continued its impressive work on the glass and won the rebounding battle over the JackJumpers 39-28. Ouedraogo, who hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass, was a big reason for the margin. CBU's defense showed improvements by converting 15 Jack Jumpers turnovers into 20 points, besting Tasmania by five in that category.
CBU will head to Sydney as the next stop on their foreign tour and will play the Illawarra Hawks of the NBL1 on Thursday, August 17th.
