GAME #2 vs. REDLANDS:
The Lancer offense was featured early and often in the day's final match for CBU. The Lancers scored a program-record 26 goals in the match, besting the previous record of 25 goals that they set twice last season.
Celeste Almendariz got the party started on the first possession of the match, and she was followed closely by Hutton and Kahahawai, who could score on the ensuing possessions. CBU jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead on the Bulldogs and increased the lead to 15-4 heading into the break. Before the half's end, Hutton chipped in a goal with 1:49 to play to give her the first-half hat trick.
CBU would open up a 10-0 run on Redlands in the second half to push the lead to as high as 20. Melissa Quon would put the bow on the match off an assist by Cayleigh Carter to score CBU's 26th goal of the match and set the program record for most goals scored in a single game.
Seven Lancers recorded multiple goals in the contest, including Hutton and Jenna Dickstein posting hat tricks. Chloe Morgan, Kahahawai, Almendariz, Amber Nielsen, and Dora Lehoczky all had multiple goals in the contest to help set the record.
Madison Haworth led the team in assists with four, while Carter and Dickstein each had three to help the Lancers rack up a season-high 16 assists. Four different goalkeepers competed in the match for CBU, led by Schneider, who had three saves in the first period.
