RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist men's golf team is set to head to Phoenix to participate in the Grand Canyon University Invitational, beginning on Tuesday. The Lancers will play at GCU Golf Course during the two-day tournament, posting 36 holes on Tuesday and 18 on Wednesday afternoon.
Head Coach TL Brown will travel with Sean Citherlet, Kurtis Rodriguez, Eeli Kujanpää, Luke Bartram, and Fred Tindale to compete in Arizona. The squad will be looking for their second top-five finish this season after the last came during the Ironwood Collegiate Classic. Leading the squad is none other than Citherlet; a junior golfer who picked up a top-15 finish during the Lancer's most recent outing at the Orange County Collegiate event.
CBU will be spending the two days in Phoenix at the GCU Golf Course, a par 71 course that features extended fairways and challenging greens on Bermuda grass. The course was renovated in 2016 and is managed by GCU year-round as a practice and playing facility for their men's and women's golf teams.
