RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist baseball program announced its 2026 schedule on Monday afternoon, citing 26 home games and a total of 14 weekend series. The Lancers will spend Opening Day at their soon-to-be conference rival's stadium at Cal State Fullerton and will end the regular season on a bye week during conference play against UC Davis.
After opening the season in a back-and-forth affair with CSUF on February 13th, the Lancers will welcome the newly minted West Coast Conference Seattle University Redhawks back to Riverside for a four-game spread. The first midweek of the year comes in the form of Cal State Northridge, before CBU will hop on a quick flight for a series versus the University of San Francisco.
The first week of March will see the first installment of the Crosstown Showdown at Totman Stadium as UC Riverside comes down the street. The Lancers will then make history as the squad heads to Provo, Utah, to compete against Brigham Young University for the first time as a program from March 5th through the 7th. The final four-game series of the season will come against Harvard University in mid-March at Totman Stadium, before CBU will have another program-first as they welcome the University of Evansville to Riverside.
UCR returns to California Baptist on Tuesday, March 24th, and then the Lancers will take a trip across the country to Queens, New York, to face St. John's University. The start of April marks the beginning of Western Athletic Conference play, and CBU will kick off 2026 at Abilene Christian from April 2nd through the 4th. Their return home will see a quick stop down the coast for a midweek match-up against Long Beach State before welcoming UT Arlington for the weekend of April 10th through the 12th.
The Lancers will stop at UCR on their way to Stephenville, Texas, for a WAC Series versus Tarleton State in mid-April before returning home to host UC Santa Barbara on Monday, April 20th. Utah Tech comes to Riverside during the final week of the busy month, as CBU returns to UC Riverside for one last game across town on Tuesday, April 28th. CBU will return to Utah again to face the 2025 WAC Tournament Champions, Utah Valley, from May 1st through the 3rd before finishing regular season conference play as hosts to Sacramento State from May 8th through the 10th.
The regular season will come to a close on the road as the Lancers will head to UC Santa Barbara for another midweek game before a three-game series against UC Davis. The Western Athletic Conference Tournament is set for May 20th through the 23rd in Mesa, Arizona, at Hohokam Stadium.
