RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist University women's water polo team has released its 2026 schedule as it gears up for its final season in the Gold Coast Conference.
As usual, the Lancers will compete in several non-conference tournaments before transitioning to a seven-game conference schedule in mid-February.
CBU's season opener will be the annual Joust Tournament hosted at the Lancer Aquatics Center and will feature several high-quality teams in the one-day tournament. CBU will open up against La Verne College and will also face future Big West opponent UC Santa Barbara during the tournament. USC, APU, and UCSD will also all compete. CBU's first road trip will be for the Malmstein Invitational hosted by Arizona State and will feature matchups against Arizona State, UCSD, and McKendree.
CBU will also host another mini tournament in late January as they face CSUN and Biola in a round robin format at the Lancer Aquatics Center. The Lancers' final out-of-state tournament will be at the Villanova Invite in early February as they travel to Pennsylvania to take on Villanova, Wagner, Princeton, and Harvard. The Lancers' final non-conference tournament will be in early March at the Convergence Tournament in Claremont, California.
Julie Snodgrass's team will open up GCC play on February 14 as they host San Diego State in Riverside. CBU will also host Santa Clara and LMU for conference play and will take on Fresno State and Pacific on the road. Nestled in between the conference matches will be non-conference matches against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine, both of which are future conference opponents for CBU.
The Lancers finished last season with a 12-16 record and went 3-4 in GCC play. CBU had ranked wins over #18 San Diego State and #19 CSUN and will look to make its final season in the conference its best.
