RIVERSIDE--- The Western Athletic Conference announced its weekly baseball awards on Monday afternoon and, to no one's surprise, cited California Baptist's Bryce McFeely as the Player of the Week. The graduate transfer unleashed a phenomenal week at the plate, making him the second Lancer to be named to the weekly award list this season.
McFeely got things going early this week after launching a pair of home runs during the midweek game versus UC Riverside. From there, he was the name to know at the plate versus BYU as he led the Lancers to a sweep of the Big 12 program with three home runs. In total, McFeely averaged .444 in the box with eight hits and five home runs, with 12 RBI. The graduate transfer is ranked 14th in the nation with 27 hits and leads the WAC.
CBU will head to Los Angeles tomorrow afternoon for a midweek duel with LMU before welcoming Harvard this weekend for a four-game series.
