Jestrovic Named to United Soccer Coaches Preseason Midfielders to Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Graduate midfielder Anja Jestrovic has been named to the 2026 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Preseason Midfielders to Watch List, becoming the second Lancer to earn a spot on one of the organization's preseason watch lists.
The midfielders watch list marks the third of four preseason watch lists released by United Soccer Coaches ahead of the 2026 season. The lists recognize returning All-America and All-Region players from the 2025 campaign.
The preseason watch lists also serve as the first step in the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy selection process, with United Soccer Coaches Division I College Services members serving as the official voting body. The watch lists are compiled by the United Soccer Coaches All-America Committees before the start of each collegiate season.
Jestrovic is coming off a standout 2025 season in which she finished with eight goals and eight assists, leading the Lancers in assists while ranking second on the team in goals.
One of her top performances came in a road victory at Utah Tech, where she scored twice on two shots to help lift CBU to the win.
"We're very happy for Anja, to be recognized as one of the top midfielders in the country is a well deserved honor. This is a testament to her intelligence amd quality, we see every day in training, and our opponents have seen every game during her time at CBU," said head coach Kristen St.Clair.
The Serbian national is one of 45 midfielders selected to the preseason watch list. She is also one of just seven players from the West Coast and one of only two representatives from the Big West Conference.
Jestrovic, who was recently named to the All-Big West Preseason Team, will look to carry that momentum into CBU's season opener on Wednesday, Aug. 12, when the Lancers travel to Berkeley to face California.
