Since switching from volleyball, junior Brooke Shea has found a home in the Lancer lineup ... Is a multi-talented athlete that can play anywhere on the field ... Will likely move from the defense to the attack ... Is relentless and a tireless worker ... Leads by example.2004: Appeared in all 17 games, starting 13 as a defender ... Earned All-GSAC Scholar-Athlete honors ... Managed to move forward in the attack to score 3 goals, which was tied for fourth on the team ... Scored goals in wins over Alliant International and Texas A&M International ... Also scored in a 3-2 double-overtime loss at Fresno Pacific.
VOLLEYBALL: Spent her first 2 years at California Baptist playing volleyball ... As a 2003 sophomore, played in all 109 games at either libero or outside hitter, averaging 1.71 kills and 3.53 digs per game ... As a 2002 freshman, played in a team-high 127 games and averaged 1.94 digs per game ... On CBU’s career lists, ranks fifth in digs per game (2.67) and eighth in digs (631).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Esperanza High in Anaheim, Calif., in 2002 ... Was an accomplished 3-sport athlete in soccer, volleyball and diving ... Earned All-CIF second team and All-Sunset League first team honors in soccer as a senior ... Soccer team won league and CIF titles ... Also earned all-league honors in volleyball and placed at the CIF Championships in diving ... Earned scholar-athlete honors.
CLUB: Played soccer with OJSC Premier and NHB.
OTHER: Majoring in business ... Uncle, Perry, was a wrestler at Cal State Bakersfield ... Has traveled extensively to the likes of Russia, Romania, Hungary, England and Chile on mission trips ... Went on a CBU International Service Project trip to Central Asia in 2004 ... Plays the violin ... Enjoys the beach, singing and working in ministry at her church.
