THIS YEAR: Junior college transfer Katy Harris is a tremendous athlete who could step in right away into the back line ... Could also see time in the midfield ... Is a strong one-v-one defender with good closing speed and is strong in the air with an agressive ball-winning mentality.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played two seasons for head coach Oliver Germond at Fresno (Calif.) City College ... Was a two-time All-Central Valley Conference selection, earning Defender of the Year honors in 2008 ... Led the Rams to the state semifinals as a senior ... Also ran cross country and won the CVC individual title in 2006 ... Also ran track and field and was the conference champion in the long jump and 4x400 relay and was All-State in the javelin and a state finalist in the heptathlon and 10,000 meters.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped one varsity season at Clovis East High, graduating in 2006 ... Also ran four seasons of cross country and track and field ... Was a four-time all-league honoree in track and earned all-league, all-city and all-valley in cross country ... Led the Timberwolves to three league and valley championships in cross country.
