The honor is Lydon's second consecutive honor, while Andrews earns her first in just her first collegiate campaign.
"I am so proud of these girls," said California Baptist Colleen Kelly. "They both worked real hard and deserved this honor. After a great freshman season last year, Monica really stepped up this year, taking a leadership role on this team. What more can you say about Heather? As a freshman, she had a phenomenal season in goal. We wouldn't be in the regional playoffs without her. She saved us on more than one occasion this year with some big saves."
Lydon appeared in all 17 games in the Lancer midfield, collecting a team-high 7 assists and 19 points. Her 7 assists was fifth in the GSAC, while her 19 points ranked 13th. Her 6 goals scored was 15th in the conference. In 2 seasons, Lydon has registered 33 points and 15 assists. She has also scored 9 goals. Her 15 assists place her tied for tenth on the Lancers' career chart. She is tied with Gia Ketelsleger (1999-2000) and current assistant coach Lauri Hauck (2000-03).
Andrews, meanwhile, proved to be one of the top keepers in the conference. She routinely kept the Lancers in several games, collecting 78 saves, which was good for second in the conference. She tallied an impressive 1.15 goals against average and was third in the GSAC with 6 shutouts.
