RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Corrie Stuursma netted 7 goals in California Baptist's twin-killing of club teams Michigan State and Pennsylvania, as the Lancers won with scores of 19-5, 16-3, respectively.
The Lancers improve to 7-1 with the wins, as they win their third in a row and seventh out of their last 8 games.
Julie Abendschein made 18 saves against Michigan State, as the Lancers rallied with 5 or more points in the second, third and fourth quarters of the 19-5 victory.
She then made 9 saves, as the Lancers scored 7 goals in the first quarter of a 16-3 beating of Pennsylvania.
California Baptists hosts Iona tomorrow afternoon (3:30 p.m.), and then welcomes the second Lancer Invitational Tournament of the year with a full schedule Friday and Saturday.
