LANCERS FALL TO NORTHRIDGE

HONOLULU, Hawaii ? California Baptist scored four fourth-quarter goals, but could not overcome a big deficit falling 9-4 to No. 14 Cal State Northridge.
Krista Chacon, Viki Pais, Whitney Shaw and Collette Brown all scored goals in the final quarter of play, but the Lancers (19-7) dig too big a hole to climb out of in the first three quarters.
The Matadors scored the first nine goals of the game with three in the first and four in the second to take a 7-0 lead at the half. Northridge added another goal in the third and one more in the fourth before CBU scored four straight.
It was the second straight loss for California Baptist after winning 15 in a row heading into the Hawaii trip. CBU will take a week off for spring break, but will return to action, March 27, when they will host NCAA Division I Harvard at 2 p.m.
