TEMPE, Ariz. ? California Baptist ran into an offensive juggernaut, Sunday, falling 14-4 to No. 7 Arizona State.
The Sun Devils scored at least two goals in each quarter. ASU scored the first four goals of the game and lead 5-1 through the first quarter.
Julie Snodgrass scored the only goal in the first for the Lancers (21-9). CBU matched the Sun Devils goal for goal in the second as Whitney Shaw and Cydney Owen each netted a goal to match ASU's two.
Arizona State led 7-3 at the half, and put it away in the third and fourth quarters by out scoring CBU 4-0 in the third and 3-1 in the fourth. Kylie Chevalier scored the only goal in the second half for the Lancers.
Julie Abendschein also notched seven saves.
California Baptist will now host Pamona Pitzer, Wednesday, at 5 p.m.
