"Jennifer Grutz did an awesome job establishing an inside presence on the offensive end," said head coach Jacob Medina. "We also had several freshman step up and give quality minutes when a couple of starters got into foul trouble."
Grutz tallied five goals in the win for the Lancers, while Collette Brown added a pair of scores. Camryn Rogers posted eight saves in the goal for CBU.
"Rogers had another great game in the goal," said Medina. "We had a solid defensive performance and scored some key goals when we needed to."
No other stats were provided for the contest.
The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Santa Barbara, Calif., to play Cal State Northridge at 2 p.m., and UC Santa Barbara at 5 p.m.
