Coming off a pair of statement wins on Saturday, CBU kept the offense rolling, winning 8-0 and 19-2 in two five-inning games. CBU's 19 runs in the second game were the most runs the Lancers have scored in a game this season.
The two wins keep the Lancers atop the PacWest standings, sitting at 36-6 overall, 19-4 PacWest, while the Seasiders drop to 11-18, 6-17.
In one of the more unusual cycles typically seen, Rodriguez got the four hits necessary for the feat in just two innings.
The junior third baseman opened the scoring in the nightcap with a two-run homer and as the Lancers batted around, Rodriguez hit a two-run triple off the right field wall later in the inning. CBU would jump on top 8-0 in the first inning.
Still needing a single and double heading into the fifth, the Lancers once again batted around in the frame, scoring nine runs and giving Rodriguez a chance to get two at-bats. She led off the inning with a single and later came up and hit a ball off the left field wall to plate her fifth run of the day on a double.
Rodriguez was one of four Lancers with multiple RBI in the game, with Andie Banuelos and Kendall Gorham each driving in three on bases clearing doubles.
Gorham kept her offensive hot streak going after hitting three homers against Grand Canyon last time out, blasting a three-run shot to centerfield in the opener. Banuelos also struck in the early game, driving in two runs and scoring another.
April Vasquez got CBU on the board first with a solo-shot in the second inning.
Holden gave the Seasiders no chance in game one, striking out a total of 13 batters in five innings of no-hit work. She also did not allow a single walk in the game, sitting just a single hit batter away from a perfect outing.
Holden moves to 17-4 with the victory and has now struck out 28 batters in 11 innings of work over the course of her last two starts.
Tory Ferreira threw the second game, upping her conference best record to 19-2 with the complete game win. Ferreira threw five innings, giving up two runs on three hits. She struck out six.
The Lancers and Seasiders will be back in action tomorrow at 5 p.m. for CBU's final regular season home games of the season.
