THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — After a week off, California Baptist University hit the road to compete at the Tina Finali Invitational, grabbing a 12-1 win against Sienna College and a 17-8 win over La Verne.
With the two wins, CBU improves to 7-7 on the season and extends its win streak to five-straight.

Sienna netted a goal in the second, but it wasn't enough for the Saints to catch up to the Lancers. Spezzaferri scored back-to-back goals, while Banks capped the scoring of the first half to give her team a staggering 7-1 lead.
The Lancers kept the pressure on offensively as Paizlee Dreyer, Evans and Sydney Iturraran each knotched a goal in the third period. Kaitlyn Persky and Jessica Castellano put the game completely away in the fourth, giving the Lancers the 12-1 victory.
Game two: CBU 17-8
In the nightcap, the Lancers continued to make waves offensively and established a 5-2 lead early in the first. Evans found the back of the cage for the first goal of the period and Courtney Menard, Raine Paul, Iturraran and Spezzaferri added to the tally.
CBU's most productive period came in the second period as it rattled in an impressive seven goals. Dreyer, Castellano, Iturraran, Kavern Howard, Banks and Evans all got in on the action to put the game solely in favor of the Lancers.
In the third, CBU increased its lead to 15-4 and powered through to the 17-8 vicotry over the Leopards.
