Navigato Stays Hot Versus Redhawks

The Redhawks managed to even up the three-game set with an 11-1, eight-inning win at Bannerwood Park, which sets up Sunday's noon game as the rubber match. CBU is 19-11, 4-4 in the WAC going into Sunday, while SU is 7-22, 3-5.
Navigato now has hits 17 of the last 18 games, and has only gone hitless in four of 30 games this year. It brought his batting average to .396 this year (53-for-134), which ranks in the top 40 of NCAA Division I.

Despite the final score, both offenses were held scoreless over the first two-and-a-half innings. The Redhawks broke through with three runs in the bottom of the third. The Lancers responded with a run of their own in the top of the fourth.
A one-out single from Navigato got the ball rolling, and two-out hits from John Glenn and Andrew Bash (RBI) made it 3-1.

Seattle U's bats stayed hot and eventually put the WAC's 10-run rule into effect in the bottom of the eighth.
