FRESNO, Calif. – Hat tricks from senior Lizette Perez and true freshman Jamie Hutton sparked a comeback bid from California Baptist University at Fresno State on Saturday afternoon.
The 15th-ranked Bulldogs held on for the 14-10 Golden Coast Conference win after being forced to call timeout halfway through the fourth quarter when the 25th-ranked Lancers were on a 5-2 run. CBU moves to 13-14, 1-3 in conference on the year, while Fresno State improves to 10-14, 2-3.
CBU plays its final two home games this week against Concordia and 12th-ranked Loyola Marymount on Thursday and Saturday at 4 p.m. and noon, respectively.
