The Lancers will start a new home series with Houston Baptist this weekend at Totman Stadium. There will be three games Friday through Sunday, with the series opener set for 6 p.m.
The senior first baseman, Glenn, will graduate as a top-10 force in several offensive categories for CBU. He currently ranks 10th all-time with 138 runs batted in and at-bats (615), 12th in hits (200), 14th in total bases (303) and just outside the top-15 in doubles (35) and home runs (22).
CBU and UCR both end the first three games of their series with 2-5 records, the two will play another Crosstown Showdown game on Tuesday, April 28 at the Riverside Sports Complex.
Two walks, an error and two hits got the Lancers off to a good start in the top of the first inning. David Martin and Harrison Spohn drew back-to-back walks with one out and an error on a hard-hit ball up the middle from Glenn scored Martin.

Jacob McCarvel has doubled his career-high for strikeouts in a game. He has 6⃣ in 3⃣ innings.#LanceUp⚔️ pic.twitter.com/sPL35Zxd9i
McCarvel helped limit the damage in the first inning and had a career outing on the mound. He was called upon with no outs and two runners in scoring position. He gave up a single, but struck out the side to stop the bleeding. He went a career-high 3.1 innings on the mound and doubled his previous best for strikeouts in a game with six. Silva went 1.1 innings in which he gave up just a walk and struck out a batter.
Safe to say Ryan Silva won this at-bat.#LanceUp⚔️ pic.twitter.com/mgtjpDMyn5
