
37 Lancers Land on All-WAC Academic List

RIVERSIDE – The Western Athletic Conference has released its Winter Academic Honors list for 2019-2020, and 37 California Baptist University athletes have received recognition.
In order to qualify for the honor, each student-athlete must have completed at least one full academic year at the school, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better, and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Women's swim and dive led the way with 17 honorees: Mallory Brubaker, Morgan Giordano, Alina Jungklaus, McKenzie Kelly, Emma Lindquist, Emily Longfellow, Kiree Lowe, Alexa Melara, Kylie Morrison, Rebeca Oviedo, Hannah Parson, Isabella Rhodes, Rita Smirnova, Buse Topcu, Savannah Uhlir, Jenna Washburn, and Madeline Wiese.
Men's swim and dive followed up their female teammates with 12 award winners: Colton Babcock, Sean Foster, Zane Freeman, Sakeri Holter, Jacob Leahy, Robert Moseley, Matthew Niculae, Mathias Scarano, Ryan Schade, Tyler Stevens, Dylan Sweikert, and Adityastha Wratsangka.
Women's basketball placed five athletes on this year's list: Tiena Afu, Georgia Dale, Ane Olaeta, Sydney Palma, and Lexy Ram.
Men's basketball rounded out the Lancer honorees with three of their own: Ferron Flavors Jr., Bul Kuol, and Glenn Morison.
