"This is becoming one of the toughest home floors in California to play on and a big part of that is our students, our community, and everybody doing it together. It's a lot of fun and we are soaking it in." - HC Rick Croy#LanceUp⚔️ pic.twitter.com/EW1RHgfRfn
With 3,401 fans at tonight's game, CBU is now averaging 3,254 fans per contest after seven home dates this season. That currently ranks third among the 15 NCAA Division I programs in Southern California with the Lancers trailing only San Diego State and UCLA in average attendance.
CBU had seven players contribute to the final score, as Dak Akin finished with a team-best 14 points, nine rebounds, and three assists to earn Player of the Game. Reed Nottage added 12 points and six rebounds, while Taran Armstrong had a near triple-double with 11 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds. Armstrong also didn't commit a turnover the game as he recorded his third double-double of the season.
A 10-0 run at the 12:43 mark secured the Lancers' first double-digit lead of the game. Armstrong kick-started the run with a nifty pass to Chance Hunter for the corner three.

It would be a game of runs from there on out, as both teams utilized long stretches of scoring runs throughout the game.
"We put a high premium on shooting the ball, but at the end of the day, there are going to be nights where you don't shoot it great, and you got to be able to be there for each other defensively," said CBU head coach Rick Croy. "I thought we were disciplined when it counted the most."
CBU sparked its most important run under the 10-minute mark as Akin got the crowd on its feet with another monster dunk.
