The No. 33-ranked Waves won the game, 10-6, despite another monster game from Keith. He is now batting .600 on the season (6-for-10) with six RBI and three home runs. John Glenn also collected two hits for CBU, which got hits from five other players.

Pepperdine and CBU's records both move to 1-1 on the season, with the series finale set for a 1 p.m. start at Totman Stadium on Sunday.
The Lancers put together multiple comeback attempts on Saturday. The Waves scored first and took a 2-0 lead on a pair of solo home runs in the second inning. CBU tied the game on a two-out rally in the top of the fifth.

Pepperdine struck back and took a 10-2 lead going into the seventh after scoring six runs in the bottom of the fifth and two more in the sixth.
Another two-out rally in the seventh kept hope alive for CBU. Minato and Plaia were issued free passes to start the inning before the Waves retired the next two batters. Carpentier sparked the rally with a double down the left-field line and Glenn kept it going with an RBI single to make it 10-4.

Harrison Spohn lined in CBU's third run of the inning, but the rally came to a close as the Lancers had a runner thrown out at the plate on the same play. Keith added his third homer of the year to lead off the ninth to make it 10-6 but that was as close as CBU would get.
