A two home run game, including a grand slam for true freshman Mitchel Simon, Chris Burica's third complete-game shutout and John Glenn's four-hit performance stood out above the rest in the Lancers' 10-0 win over the Wolverines on Friday night at Totman Stadium.
CBU erupted for 13 hits, its second most this season, in its first run-rule victory of the year. Simon went 2-for-3 with five runs batted, as he recorded the first two homer game of his young career. BURICA'S BRINGING IT
Burica continues to build one of the best seasons a Lancer pitcher has ever had. Friday marked his third complete-game shutout and sixth quality start of the season. This time, he held Utah Valley to just five hits, two walks and struck out four. He retired the Wolverines in order in the second and seventh innings.
