The Lancers have advanced to postseason and will open play in the WAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed with a rematch against No. 3 seed NM State on Wed., Nov. 2, in Seattle. The match will be available to watch on ESPN+ at 4 p.m. CBU ended the regular season with an 8-4-5 overall record and a 5-3-3 mark in WAC play, while NM State improved to 10-4-3 overall and 7-2-2 in league competition.
In tonight's match, CBU made it up on the scoreboard first when Elizabeth Oglesby found the back of the net in the 42nd minute.
However, it didn't take long as the Aggies evened the score a couple minutes later to go into halftime with a knotted 1-1 game. CBU entered the match with four consecutive shutouts and had not allowed a goal for 475 minutes until Blakely Edgar of NM State scored in the 45th minute tonight. Brooke Schultz went on to score the eventual game-winner for the Aggies in the 68th minute to secure the 2-1 victory for NM State.G⚽️AL!!!
