Seattle U's Darrion Trammell created space and knocked down the go-ahead three to seal the game for the first place Redhawks.
"It was a great college basketball game," said head coach Rick Croy. "Our guys fought really hard. It's disappointing to not be rewarded for that kind of effort, but Seattle made some big plays – I thought our guys made big plays – but they made one more."
Entering Saturday's game, the Redhawks were tied with NM State for the top spot in the WAC standings at 11-2.
Elijah Thomas led the Lancers on the day with a season-high 16 points, going 5-10 from the field and 4-6 from the 3-point line. Thomas also added six rebounds and two assists to his line.
