RIVERSIDE - California Baptist University softball is proud to announce the signing of Ahlonnie Mosby to the Lancer softball team. Mosby committed to being a Lancer during her Signing Day event after the Lancers' 3-1 victory over Seattle U on Saturday.
Ahlonnie made her first appearance in the Blue and Gold on April 9th when she threw a gem of a first pitch to catcher Mackenzie San Pedro. She then helped welcome the starters to the field and cheered them on as the Lancers secured a comeback win over Dixie State, 6-5.
Ahlonnie was joined onstage by her parents for the Signing Day event in the lobby of the CBU Events Center on Saturday night. Her natural softball talents will no doubt lead her to great things as she aspires to become a doctor or a lawyer when she grows up.
Before she commits her professional life to helping others, she soaks up the best life has to offer a 10-year old. She currently enjoys going and playing at the park and visiting Chuck E. Cheese between Lancer softball games.
When asked why she loves CBU softball she answered, "I love everything about CBU softball! The girls are all my best friends; I like hitting the ball. I loved throwing out the first pitch and I love my locker and the coaches. It is all exciting to me!"
Ahlonnie will join the team throughout the next two seasons by attending practices and helping coaches with drills and participating in off-field activities and events, as well. She also acts as the team's bat girl during games, and provides valuable tips to the players when she is in the dugout.
