Lancers Close Weekend Against Hornets

After falling behind by three, CBU tallied two runs in the third off a double by Garret Ostrander and tied the game in the fourth with a well-placed single by Jake Skipworth. The Hornets snagged the lead again in the sixth and added three runs of insurance to secure the win in the top of the ninth.
Ostrander picked up three hits during his time at the plate and a pair of RBI, while Cole Howarth came away with two hits. Ryan Delgado tallied six Ks during his four innings of action, while Nate Hemmerling ended with five strikeouts on the day.
The Lancers will head to Phoenix, AZ, to play GCU in their final away series of the season starting on Thursday, just before the WAC Tournament begins the following weekend.
