The split for women's water polo moved their record to 10-14 on the season, giving them four wins in their last five contests.
GAME 1 vs. BROWN:
The Lancers opened the day against #24 Brown at home as they were looking to extend a three-game winning streak to four. The Bears entered the match as the 24th-ranked program in the country, marking the 13th-ranked program CBU has faced this season.
CBU drew first blood as Celeste Almendariz drilled a shot off of the power play 30 seconds into the match. Brown would respond with an 8-2 run to gain control of the match and take a five-goal lead. Delilah would connect on her second goal of the game to end the half as the Lancers trailed 8-4 after 16 minutes of action.

GAME #2 at CSUF:
CBU traveled up the road to Fullerton for their final contest of the day to take on the Titans for a late-night bout at the Titan Aquatics Center. CBU had all the early momentum, scoring three unanswered goals in the opening period, including two from Moreno. Fullerton would score four of the next five goals in the match, broken up only by a Celeste Almendariz goal to tie the match at four apiece.
As the game began to shift in the Titan's direction, the Lancers would answer the challenge with a 3-0 run in the third period that included a pair of goals from reigning Gold Coast Conference Player of the Week Emaly Hutton and one from Adrianna Wong. Fullerton would make up for one of the goals with 1:05 remaining in the third period, but CBU would seal the victory with goals from Almendariz and Grace Bergquist to bring the score to 9-5.
The Titans would attempt a late rally in the fourth period with three unanswered goals, but the damage had already been done, and CBU would leave with the 9-8 victory. Hutton, Almendariz, and Moreno all recorded multiple goals, including the 10th hat trick of the season for Hutton. Hutton also added three assists to her totals, giving her a team-high six points. In goal, Tyanna Schneider rejected nine Titan shots while allowing eight goals in a full 32 minutes of work for the sophomore keeper.
NEXT: CBU will be back in action on Saturday, April 6, as they head north to Stockton, California, to battle Pacific in a GCC tilt.
