WSOC Preview: Lancers Welcome San Diego Thursday for Final Non-Conference Match

RIVERSIDE – After a two-week break, the Lancers are back at home for their final non-conference game of the season as they host San Diego.
The Lancers (4-0-1) and Toreros (3-2-2) will face off in a contested matchup, with both teams coming off winning streaks. CBU enters the game riding a four-game win streak, while San Diego has won its last two matches.

Yoshimura was named Big West Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 7, becoming the third Lancer to earn a Big West weekly honor this season.
CBU also remains No. 1 in the IWSOC West Regional Poll.

San Diego has been strong defensively this season, allowing just five goals through seven matches and recording three shutouts. Goalkeeper Chloe Walls has started every match and holds a .808 save percentage, while the Toreros have recently found their rhythm offensively, scoring four goals across their last two matches. Ella Callanan, Lily Johnson and Marissa Morales each scored in San Diego's 3-1 win over UC Irvine, with Callanan and Johnson also adding assists. The Toreros were picked eighth in the 2026 West Coast Conference preseason coaches' poll.
