Made 14 appearances, including nine starts as a sophomore... Struck out 35 in 47.0 innings... Had a career best outing against Northern Illinois, going six innings and allowing no runs on three hits and fanned six.

Appeared in 16 games, making five starts on the mound as a true freshman... Recorded 39 strikeouts in 42.1 innings pitched.

Prepped at Citrus Hill High in Perris, Calif., where he graduated in 2017... Twice named Mountain Pass League MVP and an all-league first teamer... Threw two no-hitters in his high school career.

Son of Jorge and Veronica Valerio... Has two siblings, Ana and Yovana... Ana graduated from CBU in 2017... Kinesiology major... Enjoys baseball, basketball and resistance training... Plans to professional baseball after graduation.
